Day 3
Fez
Al-attarine Madrasa in Fez
The historian Ibn Khaldun defined Fez as “the art that luxury brings to life in a city where people are occupied with intellectual matters”. Here you can discover the Medersa Bou Inania: this Koranic school, richly decorated in bronze, marble and wood, was built in 1350. The Medersa Attarine, built a little earlier, is also a masterpiece of the Marinid era. Foudouk Nejjarine: a former 18th-century caravanserai, restored thanks to UNESCO and housing a museum dedicated to the arts of wood, is a place that will surprise you. The tanners’ quarter: to discover it, you’ll have to climb a steep staircase to a terrace from where you can watch the craftsmen treading the skins of the multicolored basins. Your day can be rounded off with a visit to the Dar Batha Museum, undoubtedly one of Morocco’s most interesting museums of traditional art.
Night in Fez.
Day 4
Fez - Chefchaouen (approx. 3h30)
Chefchaouen
You leave Fezin the direction of Meknès and turn right after 10 km, in the direction of Ouazzane. Your Morocco self-drive tour then takes you over the Zeggota pass, down into a fairly arid, semi-mountainous area. From the small village of Jorf el Melha, the road rises in altitude and becomes more beautiful. After 140 km, you reach Ouazzane, a holy city and place of pilgrimage, where you can discover a place full of charm, with its white walls, vaulted ceilings and staircase lanes. A few kilometers further on, you arrive in Chefchaouen. Let yourself wander through its charming, colorful streets.
Night in Chefchaouen.
Day 5
Chefchaouen - Tangier (approx. 5h)
Tetouan
A superb road takes you due east 100 km to Ketama. It offers some extraordinary panoramas and varied landscapes between mountains and greenery. The coastal road then skirts magnificent beaches and small coves dotted with fishing villages. Forty-five kilometers before Tetouan, you can take a refreshing break in the charming seaside resort of Oued Laou. Then continue your Morocco self-drive along the Ghomara coast to the Arab-Andalusian town of Tetouan, which lies white on a hillside facing the foothills of the Rif. Fifty kilometers further on, you arrive in Tangier.

Tangier
Tanger

Night in Tangier.
Day 7
Tangier - Rabat (approx. 4h)
Asilah
The coastal road between Tangier and Rabat on this Morocco tour is magnificent. You start the day by heading for Asilah, 46 km from Tangier. Although Asilah was a Spanish enclave for many years, it has all the hallmarks of a Greek town, with its immaculate white facades! Don’t miss a visit to the old town, surrounded by Portuguese ramparts built in the 15th century. You then continue on to Arache, a white and blue town (the color blue is said to repel insects) 42 km from Asilah. Its medina has a lot of character, thanks in particular to its maze of narrow streets all leading to the sea. Your Moroccan tour continues towards Casablanca, passing through Kénitra, home to a major river port. After 40 km, you arrive in Rabat.
Night in Rabat.
