North of the medina, the lively Jemaa el Fnaa square with leave you with some unforgettable memories. Stop at the terrace of a café to treat yourself to a mint tea and one of Marrakech’s famous gazelle horns.
A few steps away from the square, the souks display their many treasures! Visit the weaving workshop as well as those of the carpenters, copper workers, cobblers and iron workers. Get lost in this maze of colours and perfumes brimming with spices, carpets and oriental slippers.
Next, discover the majestic silhouette of the Koutoubia that dominates the red rooftops of the medina. This will be the landmark to give remind you of your bearings throughout your stay in Marrakech.
South of the medina, beyond its enormous ramparts, Marrakech’s kasbah hides precious historic heritage. Penetrate into the Saadien Mausoleum to come face to face with all the legends surrounding the powerful dynasty that ruled over Morocco for over a century. Finally, let yourself be tempted by a peaceful stroll through the gardens of the necropolis…
Not far from here, make your way to the El Badi palace, proudly referred to as the “incomparable palace”. Visit what remains of the mysterious building and all the secrets of Marrakech’s past. Now, the storks reign here, except in June when the Moroccan Folklore Festival takes usurps the throne for a week.
Lastly, don’t miss Marrakech’s mellah and its jewellery souk, widely known for the intricacies in the details of its objects.

The best excursions around Marrakech

Only a few kilometres from Marrakech, discover all the wonders of its palmeraie! Amidst gardens and orchards, contemplate a grandiose panorama that gives onto the peaks of the Atlas Mountains. To get there, just follow the flow of the Issil Oued.
20min from Marrakech is the beautiful Lalla Takerkoust Lake, a magnificent and enjoyable setting for children and adults! A great place to go for a long walk or take advantage of the body of water in a rowboat, peddle boat, or just plain swimming!
From Marrakesh, for a hike in the High Atlas Mountains, in the heart of the Berber universe. Beautiful walks await around the mountains of Oukaïmeden and Toubkal. From December to April, skiers can tackle the snowy slopes of the Jebel at 3200 metres in altitude!
In the summer you’ll find calm and purity in the Ourika Valley, teeming with waterfalls and streams. A unique visit amidst the Atlas locals, whose generosity causes travellers to leave with memories full of colour and emotion.
