Morocco’s magnificent heritage is marked by the splendor of its human constructions and the exceptional beauty of its landscapes.
Marrakech, the “Pearl of the South”, is one of the emblems of Moroccan architecture, with its colorful monuments and warm atmosphere. Further north, the medieval city of Fez delights visitors with its medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Casablanca is also home to some remarkable buildings, such as the Hassan II mosque. As for Rabat, the country’s capital, it happily combines modernity and heritage.
In the heart of the Rif mountains lies the famous blue city of Chefchaouen. The beauty of the Rif competes with the superb landscapes of the Atlas Mountains, home to mouflons, jackals and porcupines. The Sahara desert, with its endless dunes, also remains a symbol of Morocco, while on the Atlantic coast, the towns of Essaouira and Agadir open onto heavenly beaches.
Visits to the medinas and historic monuments of Moroccan cities (Marrakech, Fez, Chefchaouen) are an excellent start to your stay in Morocco. In Essaouira and Agadir, you can also enjoy the delights of the beach or go surfing and windsurfing.
Then, don’t hesitate to take a trip inland. There are countless destinations, from the Todgha gorges to the Tizi N’test road, via the Ourika, Dades and Draâ valleys.
The Sahara desert also invites you to experience exceptional adventures, including nights under the stars in campsites. Are you a thrill-seeker? Let yourself be tempted by a 4×4 escapade in the dunes.
Finally, the Atlas Mountains are ideal for hiking and trekking. Follow the trails through breathtaking landscapes and visit authentic Berber villages!
There are many direct flights from France to Morocco. Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech and Rabat airports are linked to most French international airports (Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, Marseille, Lyon, Montpellier, Lille, Bordeaux, etc.). Oujda-Angads and Tangier airports offer less choice.
Connections are generally operated by Royal Air Maroc, Transavia France, Air France, Air Arabia Maroc and EasyJet. Expect a flight time of between 2h30 and 3h30, depending on departure and destination airports. You can use bynativ’s booking engine to efficiently manage your ticket purchase.
Although no visa is required, don’t forget your passport. France and Morocco have a time difference of one hour, only in summer. The currency is the dirham. Morocco has two official languages: Arabic and Amazigh. French, however, is still widely spoken.
After getting off the plane, settle down on a terrace to sip a mint tea! Moroccan gastronomy is rich in flavors. Try tajines, couscous, pastillas and hariras!
